Piece number one of a special open edition of black leather
cases has been released. This unique case has been custom designed for
The Dream Cycle Mythos.
Each of these CD cases is entirely handmade. The logo is hand
printed from a lino cut. The case is a handmade drop-back box, fully bound
in black sheepskin leather. The graphics and lyrics are included in a
custom designed folding pocket. Each piece is numbered and comes with a
certificate of authenticity from the case designer. Please contact us if you

We've added a longer clip from the new cd on The Official Cephalectomy Myspace Page - This clip is the beginning 4 and 1/2 minutes of the cd, minus a short intro that comes before it.
Also, we should have some new shirts in later this week, these shirts are a very basic design but will be sold for a good price. If sales fair well, we anticipate a new design soon that will be more involved and likely based around The Dream Cycle Mythos artwork.

Vocals have finally been completed for The Dream Cycle Mythos! Mixing and Mastering will now commence and we hope to have this pressed and released very soon! When everything is 100% done we'll let you all know!

Another update for those of you wondering about the new EP. Some of our guest vocals were completed on the weekend and Jason will be finishing up his vocals on Saturday thus completing the album. Then we'll spend a little time to mix the album and release it afterwards. We still can't give an exact date but hopefully it will be full mixed and ready to go in the next couple weeks!
In other news, which might please any of you who look forward to hearing new music. We've completed writing songs for another album. Yes, that's right, this is the quickest we've completed writing a release and we hope to release it sometime within the next year. No waiting another 3-4 years for a release.

Well it's been 2 months since the last update and I'm sure people are wondering what the hell is going on with "The Dream Cycle Mythos". We still are doing vocals, this has been a very slow drawn out session and we apolagize for being so slow. About 70% ofb the vocals are done. We hope to get the rest done before long but please be patient with us, we're a little slow but it will get done.
Also, We're writing new material for a future full length. We have 4 songs done and are still pushing forward with that, so by the time TDCM is released, you may see a full length follow shortly after. The new songs are going to be a lot shorter then people are use to with Cephalectomy. We want to try something different for a change but don't worry, it will still be very much our style.

Welcome to the new Cephalectomy Website. After many years, we've abandoned the old site style to bring something we feel is more organized and easier to navigate around. In celebration of releasing the new site we've decided to put up the mp3 for "The Igniting Tempest" for you, available now in the download section.
Vocals are still in the works for "The Dream Cycle Mythos", it's a slow process but we'll keep you up to date as to how things are going.

Well it's finally done. We have a new fun video done to a new unreleased song "The Igniting Tempest" for you to check out. Special Thanks To (in no particular order) : Erynn Nguyen (actor), Joe Nelson (actor), Nicole Wickens (make-up artist) and Jessie Macphee for their help with this video!!!
Vocals still need to be finished for "The Dream Cycle Mythos" but we anticipate a spring release, check back for updates!
November 20th - 2007
So, another update already! Nothing major to report but we thought since we failed to mention it in our previous update, that the band has a new bassist. Scott Armstrong (ex-Dichotic) can be heard on the new EP. Welcome Scott!
Also, we mentioned that the promo video would not be happening, turns out we've come up with a new idea, so you all in fact should be getting a new video to check out in the near future. We suspect this will probably be released in January and the EP shortly after.
We also hope to print some new shirts for when the EP is released and possibly some patches. If this is something you'd like to see, please write us with your support to show us this would be a worthwhile task. Thanks!
November 8th - 2007
Hello Again! Time For A Quick Update! Just to let you all know, the music for the new EP has been recorded, all that's left is vocals. This will take some time though so don't get too excited yet. You can expect to see this release in early 2008. The new EP will be titled "The Dream Cycle Mythos".
Unfortunately the promo video did not come to be, it's possible it may later on but at very worst we'll just release the song for a promo, this has yet to be finished. Keep checking back for updates.
Also, we're happy to announce that Cephalectomy.com has hit the 50,000 visit mark. Thanks to everyone for their support!
August 29th - 2007
Ok, so again, another slow update. However, there are a few things to report.
First off, we do have a new release in the works. It will be an EP, one 23 minute song. The drums are done for this and some rough guitar and vocals will ensue shortly. It will still be a while before this is completed but we promise you a whirlwind of chaos beyond anything we've done yet, so if you like insane, you'll like the new recording.
Secondly, we'll be doing a new video for a new song to help promote this new release, you can expect to see this in the next month or two.
